At Michaels, we want you to be fully satisfied with every purchase. That’s why we offer a flexible return policy.

Returns and Refunds

  • Most items can be returned within 60 days of purchase for a full refund. Exceptions include costumes and accessory kits, which must be returned 7 days prior to the holiday.
  • To return an item purchased online, log into your account, go to Order History, select the item, and choose the Return option. We’ll provide a prepaid shipping label to send it back.
  • For store purchases, returns can be made at any Michaels location with the receipt within 60 days.
  • Without a receipt, we’ll try to locate the purchase using your Rewards number or credit/debit card. Photo ID is required.
  • Refunds are issued in the original payment method. Gift card purchases get a Michaels Store Return Card.
  • Shipping fees may be deducted if not due to a Michaels error.

Exchanges

  • Exchanges are not available at this time. To exchange an item, please return and re-purchase.

MichaelsPro Purchases

  • Contact 1-833-MIKEPRO within 60 days for return authorization. Restocking fees may apply.

Third Party Sellers

  • For Marketplace purchases, initiate returns online for seller handling.
  • For MakerPlace, contact seller to coordinate return shipping costs. Not eligible for in-store returns.

Exceptions

  • Clearance items are final sale.
  • Custom framing can be reworked within 14 days.
  • Cut fabric is final sale.
  • Cricut and Glowforge must be unopened with receipt for return. Contact manufacturer for defects under warranty.
  • Classes are refundable before start date. Parties within 7 days of event.
